Born and raised in Gafsa, Nadya Zarrougui is a 30-year-old artist who obtained her Fine Arts degree in 2012. She pursued her MA in Research in Aesthetic and Practice in Visual Arts at The Institute of Fine Arts of Sousse. Her first exhibition was held at the National Library of Tunis, and she has participated in several group exhibitions at Elbirou Gallery in Sousse, Efesto in La Marsa and Elmarsa gallery in Tunis. In May 2017, she participated in the fourth edition of Jaou Tunis, organized by the Kamel Lazaar Foundation for which she collaborated with sculptor Abdesslem Ayed in a project titled Epitaphe. In October 2017, she participated in feminist Festival Choftouhonna and received the “coups de cœur d’arts plastiques” prize.
